I have heard amazing things about the Kiko water eyeshadow #208 everywhere and as soon as a Kiko Milano store opened up near me in London, I was there at the counter handing over my money because I had to have it! Here’s why…
It is beautiful to look at (this picture does it no justice) and has an amazing 3D wave pattern (something a little different is always a plus) however the real standout feature of this product is the texture of the shadow. It is velvety soft, buttery and smooth and super finely milled.
I have been using this as a highlighter and it is simply stunning. The above swatch is one swipe and I barely ran my finger across the shadow. It is a gorgeous soft champagne colour and I can see it looking amazing on all skin tones. It is highly pigmented so I recommend you approach it with caution and a very light hand. I personally like using a soft fluffy brush and building up the colour slowly to the desired intensity. It literally melts into the skin giving a flawless glow. It is not chunky or glittery yet still packs a punch. It is stunning as an inner corner highlighter and an all over lid colour but I am so in love with using it as a highlighter I rarely use it for anything else.
The packaging is simple, sturdy and serves its purpose. It is small but fits easily into a small makeup case you can carry with you and is easy to find. It doesn’t get stained and is simple to wipe clean.
It has a good size mirror that I always appreciate on the go. This eyeshadow is long wearing and lasted all day on my face as a highlighter with minimal fading. I don’t see myself having to touch up as even when it fades it leaves a soft lit from within glow. I have heard many bloggers compare it to Mac Whisper of Guilt (which was always out of stock!) and the swatches I have seen are hard to tell the difference between. Whether or not it is a dupe, the Kiko #208 eyeshadow is a stand out product in its own right and the price point is so affordable I would recommend it to anyone in search of a good glowy highlighter!
